Join us for “Wine 101 with Vine Bar”, an immersive eight-month course that goes beyond the basics and takes you on a delightful journey through the world of wine. Led by Justina Latura, Vine Bar’s owner and wine enthusiast, along with Bailey Place, Vine Bar Wine Ambassador, and expert guest lecturers, this course promises to deepen your appreciation and understanding of wines.

Month 2: Handling, Serving, Storing, Pairing, Wine Faults

• Dive into the details of temperature, glassware, wine tools, and decanting.
• Explore the intricacies of handling, serving, and storing wine.
• Understand common wine faults.
• Expect to taste 7-9 wines 

Month 3: Old World Part 1

Jun 14, 2026 

• Journey through France and Spain
• Taste red wines from Bordeaux, Burgundy, and the Rhone.
• Discover French whites from Loire, Burgundy and Alsace.
• Learn about the most important wine regions of Spain
• Expect to taste 10-12 wines

Month 4: Old World Part 2

• Explore the history and wines of Italy and Germany!
• Experience wines from the  Italian regions of Tuscany, Piedmonte, Veneto, Alto Adige, Campania, and Sicily.
• Taste wines from the most historic wine regions of Germany

Month 5: New World Wines Part 1

• Learn about the Judgement of Paris and its impact on the US wine industry.
• Explore the notable wine regions of California, Oregon, Washington,

• Expect to taste 9-10 wines

Month 6: New World Part 2

• Explore the up and coming Pacific wine regions of South Africa, Australia and New Zealand.
• Expect to taste 9 wines

Month 7: Bubbles and Blind Tasting

• Explore the three different methods of making sparkling wine.
• Test your knowledge with a blind tasting.
• Expect to taste 9-10 wines
